Volunteer Impact

Volunteers serve a vital role in the daily operations of HAAM. The impact that our volunteers make in the lives of community members who seek assistance at HAAM is enormous. Most services at the social services building and our two resale stores are effectively performed by volunteers.

Actually, 4,836 volunteers contributed 34,082 service hours in 2022!

A variety of volunteer positions are available at HAAM. Some volunteer assignments require direct client involvement while others may be occasional or seasonal. We look for individuals who are committed to making a difference in their community. Anyone who is interested in volunteering at HAAM must contact the Volunteer Coordinator to review the current volunteer needs, explore your interests and to answer questions. All prospective volunteers (with the exception of school age student volunteers and college students) must schedule to attend a Volunteer Orientation session. Volunteer Orientation is held on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID-19, check with the Volunteer Coordinator to see if an orientation is scheduled.

Contact Cathy Schrof, Volunteer Coordinator, at 281-446-3663 x 120 or cschrof@haamministries.org to schedule volunteer service.
