Volunteers serve a vital role in the daily operations of Humble Area Assistance Ministries. The impact that our volunteers make in the lives of community members who seek assistance at HAAM is enormous. Most services at the social services building and our two resale stores are effectively performed by volunteers.
Actually, over 3,671 volunteers contributed more than 42,000 hours in 2018!
A variety of volunteer positions are available at HAAM. Some jobs require direct client involvement while others may be occasional or seasonal. We look for individuals who are committed to making a difference in their community. Anyone who is interested in volunteering at HAAM must contact the Volunteer Coordinator to review the current volunteer needs, explore your interests and to answer questions. All prospective volunteers (with the exception of school age student volunteers and college students) must schedule to attend a Volunteer Orientation session. Volunteer Orientation is held each Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they have the heart.”
