"Christmas in July" is here and before we know it, the holidays will be upon us!
As one of the supportive programs HAAM provides to local area families through our Seasons of Sharing, HAAM's Empty Stocking Toy Store is available to registered clients whose already tight budgets do not allow for the additional expenses associated with Christmas like holiday foods, toys and gifts. And last year, families living on the edge had one more giant obstacle to overcome - COVID-19. Countless families were affected by COVID in one way or another, through unexpected job loss, illness and loss of child care just to name a few. Still, parents or guardians "shopped" for more than 1,700 children in a new physically distant way. That's 1,700 children who received gifts such as toys, blankets, gift cards, pajamas, and more at our Empty Stocking Toy Store.
This program is so important to our families, but we need your help to make it happen. Please consider donating one or more $25 gift cards from Target or Walmart today.
Gift cards can be dropped of at HAAM Social Services, 1302 First Street in Humble Monday through Thursday until 4:30 PM and Fridays until 12:00 PM. HAAM is thankful for the support of our community.
